Luggage Compartment Door

  1. Remove luggage compartment door assist grip (w/ assist grip)

  2. Remove luggage compartment door cover

  3. Remove luggage compartment door lock assembly

  4. Remove luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly

  5. Remove luggage compartment door outside garnish assembly

  6. Remove luggage door opening switch assembly (w/ entry and start system)

  7. Remove rear television camera assembly (w/ rear view monitor system)

  8. Remove rear light assembly lh

  9. Remove rear light assembly rh

  10. Remove license plate light assembly lh

  11. Remove license plate light assembly rh

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP (w/ Assist Grip)
  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the assist grip cover.HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Camry

  2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the assist grip cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  1. Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip.



2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 13 clips and luggage compartment door cover. Camry

  2. Using a clip remover, remove the 13 clips and luggage compartment door cover.



3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the rod. Camry

  2. Disconnect the rod.

  1. Disconnect the connector. Camry

  2. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and luggage compartment door lock assembly.



4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the cable and connector. Camry

  2. Disconnect the cable and connector.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and the luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 nuts and the luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly.



5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY
  1. Put protective tape around the luggage compartment door outside garnish assembly. Camry

  2. Put protective tape around the luggage compartment door outside garnish assembly.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts. Camry

  2. Remove the 3 nuts.

  1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the luggage compartment door outside garnish assembly. Camry

  2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the luggage compartment door outside garnish assembly.



6. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)

7. REMOVE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor System)

8. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
  1. Disconnect the connector and clamp. Camry

  2. Disconnect the connector and clamp.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts. Camry

  2. Remove the 3 nuts.

  1. Disengage the clip and remove the rear light assembly.



9. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.


10. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH
  1. Disconnect the connector. Camry

  2. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the license plate light assembly as shown in the illustration.



11. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
