Thermostat - Removal(2009/01 - 2010/08)

1. Remove engine under cover lh

2. Remove engine under cover rh

3. Drain engine coolant

4. Disconnect radiator hose outlet

5. Remove water inlet

6. Remove thermostat

NOTICE:

Do not remove the radiator cap sub-assembly while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

1. Remove the radiator cap sub-assembly from the radiator assembly.

2. Loosen the radiator drain cock plug and cylinder block drain cock plug, then drain the coolant.
   

   
   
   
   

   HINT:

   Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

1. Remove the clamp and disconnect the radiator hose outlet.

1. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the water inlet from the cylinder block.

1. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
