  1. Remove no. 1 engine cover sub-assembly

  2. Remove air cleaner cap sub-assembly

  3. Remove air cleaner case sub-assembly

  4. Remove air cleaner bracket

  5. Disconnect ecm connector

  6. Remove ecm

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and cover. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 nuts and cover.



2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector (*1). Camry

  2. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector (*1).

  1. Disconnect the purge VSV connector (*2).

  1. Disconnect the 2 purge VSV vacuum hoses (*3).

  1. Disconnect the purge line hose from the clamp (*4).

  1. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the air cleaner hose. Camry

  2. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the air cleaner hose.

  1. Lock the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, and then disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle body. Camry

  2. Lock the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, and then disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle body.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner cap. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner cap.

  1. Remove the air cleaner filter element from the air cleaner case.



3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the hose clamp. Camry

  2. Disconnect the hose clamp.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.



4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET
  1. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner bracket. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner bracket.



5. DISCONNECT ECM CONNECTOR
  1. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.NOTICE: After disconnecting the connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter does not contact the connecting part of the connector.Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors. Camry

  2. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.

    NOTICE:
    After disconnecting the connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter does not contact the connecting part of the connector.

    1. Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.



6. REMOVE ECM
  1. Remove the 3 bolts of the ECM with bracket. Camry

  2. Remove the 3 bolts of the ECM with bracket.

  1. Remove the ECM with bracket.

  1. Remove the 4 screws and ECM bracket. Camry

  2. Remove the 4 screws and ECM bracket.
