  1. Inspect crankshaft position sensor

1. INSPECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.Standard resistance:TemperatureSpecified ConditionCold985 to 1,600 ΩHot1,265 to 1,890 ΩNOTICE: "Cold" and "Hot" mean the temperature of the coils themselves. "Cold" is from -10 to 50°C (14 to 122 °F) and "Hot" is from 50 to 100°C (122 to 212°F).If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor. Camry

  2. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

    Standard resistance:
    Temperature
    		Specified Condition
    Cold
    		985 to 1,600 Ω
    Hot
    		1,265 to 1,890 Ω
    NOTICE:
    "Cold" and "Hot" mean the temperature of the coils themselves. "Cold" is from -10 to 50°C (14 to 122 °F) and "Hot" is from 50 to 100°C (122 to 212°F).
    If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
