  1. Remove luggage compartment door assist grip (w/ assist grip)

  2. Remove luggage compartment door cover

  3. Remove luggage compartment floor mat

  4. Remove spare wheel cover clamp

  5. Remove spare wheel cover assembly

  6. Remove luggage compartment side tray assembly

  7. Remove no. 1 luggage compartment trim hook

  8. Remove rear floor finish plate

  9. Adjust luggage compartment door

  10. Install rear floor finish plate

  11. Install no. 1 luggage compartment trim hook

  12. Install luggage compartment side tray assembly

  13. Install spare wheel cover assembly

  14. Install spare wheel cover clamp

  15. Install luggage compartment floor mat

  16. Install luggage compartment door cover

  17. Install luggage compartment door assist grip (w/ assist grip)


Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts on. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts when making adjustments. Camry

HINT:

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP (w/ Assist Grip)
  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the assist grip cover.HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Camry

  2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the assist grip cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  1. Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip.



2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 13 clips and luggage compartment door cover. Camry

  2. Using a clip remover, remove the 13 clips and luggage compartment door cover.



3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


4. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER CLAMP


5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY


6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the bolt. Camry

  2. Remove the bolt.

  1. Disengage the clip and remove the luggage compartment side tray assembly.



7. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK
  1. Remove the 2 screws and the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks. Camry

  2. Remove the 2 screws and the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks.



8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
  1. Disengage the 7 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate. Camry

  2. Disengage the 7 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.



9. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR
  1. Loosen the door side hinge bolts to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.Torque: 7.5 N*m{77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf} Camry

  2. Loosen the door side hinge bolts to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.

    Torque:
    7.5 N*m{77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf}
  1. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a plastic hammer. Camry

  1. Tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment.

    Torque:
    5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}


10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
  1. Engage the 7 clips and install the rear floor finish plate. Camry

  2. Engage the 7 clips and install the rear floor finish plate.



11. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK
  1. Install the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks with the 2 screws. Camry

  2. Install the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks with the 2 screws.



12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY ASSEMBLY
  1. Engage the clip and install the luggage compartment side tray assembly. Camry

  2. Engage the clip and install the luggage compartment side tray assembly.

  1. Install the bolt.



13. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY


14. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER CLAMP


15. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
  1. Install the luggage compartment door cover with the 13 clips. Camry

  2. Install the luggage compartment door cover with the 13 clips.



17. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP (w/ Assist Grip)
  1. Install the luggage compartment door assist grip with the 2 screws. Camry

  2. Install the luggage compartment door assist grip with the 2 screws.

  1. Engage the 3 claws and close the assist grip cover. Camry

  2. Engage the 3 claws and close the assist grip cover.
