  1. Remove timing belt

  2. Remove crankshaft timing pulley

  3. Remove oil pump seal

1. REMOVE TIMING BELT

2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
  1. Using SST, remove the timing pulley.SST09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05010)NOTICE: Do not turn the timing pulley. 4Runner

  2. Using SST, remove the timing pulley.

    NOTICE:
    Do not turn the timing pulley.


3. REMOVE OIL PUMP SEAL
  1. Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip. 4Runner

  2. Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the crankshaft.
    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
