  1. Inspect fuel pump relay assembly

1. INSPECT FUEL PUMP RELAY ASSEMBLY
  1. Check the resistance.Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.Resistance:Tester ConnectionSpecified Condition3 - 4Below 1 Ω3 - 510 kΩ or higher3 - 410 kΩ or higher(Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)3 - 5Below 1 Ω(Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump relay. 4Runner

  2. Check the resistance.

    1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

      Resistance:
      Tester Connection
      		Specified Condition
      3 - 4
      		Below 1 Ω
      3 - 5
      		10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 4
      		10 kΩ or higher
      (Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)
      3 - 5
      		Below 1 Ω
      (Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)
      If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump relay.
